This prime outdoor location is the place to be if you’re looking to up the stakes. 

A ticket into The Grove means you’ll enjoy a range of beverages (included in your ticket price), food for grazing on throughout the evening, a resident DJ to keep the vibe going… all to the backdrop of the track’s “thunder” as the horses race past you on their way to the riches of the winning post. We’ll even throw in a racebook so you can ‘track talk’ like a pro.

​Unreserved seating and cocktail style furniture will be there to add to your comfort in between bouts of mixing and mingling with the crowd.

Plus, after the last race you’re welcome to head into The Birdcage (Cuvée, ground floor, Ascot Stand) to join the official afterparty where Jupiter Project will be performing live.

​All that’s left for you to do is find some friends or colleagues keen to come and enjoy a taste of the high life at our Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Night!

 

WEATHER UPDATE: While this precinct has been designed as an outdoor space, guests will have access to cover with outdoor umbrellas, a marquee and covered pergola in the area.  Further, guests can access the Newmarket Room (ground floor, Ascot Stand).

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of the on-site afterparty
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse

    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
