General Admission

Our general admission areas provide a relaxed, laid-back way for eventgoers to enjoy their afternoon and offer excellent viewing opportunities of the racetrack and associated areas.

When it comes time to race, you have the option of either enjoying exceptional views from the covered, outdoor seating in the Ellerslie Stand, getting as close as possible to the thunder of the track from the limited lawn space down below which neighbours the home straight or alternatively, make use of the plentiful lawn space located behind the Ellerslie Stand adjacent to the stabling complex.

​The Newmarket Room, located on the ground floor of the Ellerslie Stand, is open to the public and offers a range of tasty food & beverages to purchase as well as easy access to tote facilities.

​You’re welcome to bring along your own picnic food, unopened non-alcoholic beverages, as well as chairs & picnic rugs for use in our outdoor general admission areas.

General admission also provides you with the option of walking around the public pathways within the stabling complex.

Subject to weather conditions, we’ll also have our bouncy castle and outdoor games set up for the young (or young at heart!) to enjoy and under 15s also enjoy free general admission.

TAB account holders can utilise the newly-renovated TAB Winning Post bar. All you need to do is check in with your TAB account details (download the app here) to gain entry. Please note, if we have reached capacity there may be a wait for you to enter until other customers leave.

Weather update: Guests in general admission areas have access to the Newmarket Room (ground floor, Ellerslie Stand) and TAB Winning Post (ground floor, Ascot Stand – TAB account required). General admission guests can also bring umbrellas and shade gazebos / pop-up tents to use on the outdoor public lawns on course too.
