General Admission

Our general admission areas provide a relaxed, laid-back way for eventgoers to enjoy their afternoon and offer excellent viewing opportunities of the racetrack and associated areas.

When it comes time to race, you have the option of either enjoying exceptional views from the covered, outdoor seating in the Ellerslie Stand or get as close as possible to the thunder of the track from the open space of the public lawns which neighbour the home straight.

​The Newmarket Room, located on the ground floor of the Ellerslie Stand, is open to the public and offers a range of tasty food & beverages to purchase.

TAB account holders can utilise the newly-renovated TAB Winning Post bar (ground floor, Ascot Stand). All you need to do is check in with your TAB account details (download the app here) to gain entry. Please note, if we have reached capacity there may be a wait for you to enter until other customers leave.

Picnics welcome

You’re welcome to bring along your own picnic food, unopened non-alcoholic beverages, as well as chairs, secure shade tents / shelters and picnic rugs for use in our outdoor general admission areas (please note that you will need to carry these from the carparks). We also have cafe-style food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase and a limited range of picnic tables and chairs for use on a first-in, first-served basis. There is outdoor grandstand seating available in the Ellerslie Stand too for members of the public to use.

You’ll also get FREE access into The Grand Tour Racing Festival zone located on the Newmarket Lawn.

And if you’re a TAB account holder, head on over to the newly-renovated TAB Winning Post where you can hang out for the day. All you need to do is check in with your TAB account details to gain entry. Please note, if we have reached capacity on the day, there may be a wait for you to enter until other customers leave.
