This precinct takes what is already an extraordinary night to the next level. This trackside location, that channels the laidback but chic feel of a Marlborough winery, is the hottest place to witness the night’s million-dollar racing action.

The Grove offers you the chance to enjoy a range of delicious beverages (included in your ticket price), food throughout the evening to graze upon, a resident DJ to keep the vibe just so…plus the sound of the track’s “thunder” as the horses race past you on their way to the riches of the winning post. And we will even throw in a racebook so you can ‘track talk’ like a pro.

There’ll be unreserved seating and cocktail style furniture (if you didn’t upgrade to a reserved table of 10) to keep you comfy all evening long and after the last race you’ll be able to sit back and enjoy the comfortable surroundings of The Grove or get access to the infamous official afterparty in Cuvée.

All that’s left for you to do is find some friends keen to come and enjoy a taste of the high life at our million-dollar party!

- On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
- All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of The Grove and the official afterparty in Cuvée

- Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
