Let’s get ready to paaaaaarty!!

It was always a sell-out in years gone by before COVID put a spanner in the works, but if you haven’t heard, The Paddock brought to you by The Grand Tour Racing Festival, located within our new and improved infield (centre of the track) is the place to be this Boxing Day Races.

​If you’re wanting to spend your time trackside with mates, great tunes, pop-up food & chilled drinks to keep you cool under the summer sun (oh, check out some horse racing in the background), this is the precinct for you.

Pssst……The Paddock also plays host to the day’s afterparty so you won’t have any reason to move after the last.

    • On-site parking is free and accessed through Derby Downs Place
    • This precinct is strictly R18
    • All bars close shortly after the last race with the exception of the on-site afterparty located in The Paddock
    • Afterparty conditions apply: R18, dress code applies, intoxicated persons will not be permitted or tolerated, first-in-first served, space is limited
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse
    • A dress code applies in hospitality areas. Please click here for more information
    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
