Join us for an afternoon trackside as we farewell summer and welcome our autumn racing calendar.

Bring the family & enjoy a day out in a relaxed atmosphere here at Ellerslie Racecourse.

​We cater for all your food and beverage needs with hassle-free food options available to purchase or pack a picnic with your favourite treats (including any non-alcoholic, unopened drinks) to enjoy in any of our outdoor, public areas on course.  There’s also a hospitality option for those keen for a more elevated raceday experience

Free children’s entertainment in the form of swing ball sets and a bouncy castle will be on offer (subject to weather conditions).

TAB account holders can gain free entry (subject to space) into the TAB Winning Post bar (ground floor, Ascot Stand) simply by checking in with their TAB account details.

General admission is FREE.

Please note that raceday carparking is accessible via 16 Derby Downs Place. Mobility / accessible parking, ticket collection, drop-offs and foot traffic can access the racecourse via 100 Ascot Avenue. Learn more here.

    • All bars close shortly after the last race
    • Auckland Thoroughbred Racing encourages responsible drinking and intoxicated persons will not be granted entry to Ellerslie Racecourse

    • Tickets are non-refundable and prices include GST. A separate booking fee of $1.50 per ticket will also apply upon purchase
    • Promotional photographs, social media content & film footage will be taken at this event. By entering the racecourse, event-goers consent to use of their image by the Club & New Zealand Thoroughbred Racing for promotional purposes
