Legacies align with Barfoot & Thompson renewing their partnership with Auckland Thoroughbred Racing

Auckland Thoroughbred Racing (ATR) is thrilled to announce that major partner, Barfoot & Thompson, has renewed its’ commitment to their iconic raceday portfolio.

Barfoot & Thompson has recently confirmed that it will extend its partnership with ATR until December 2025 securing their role as naming rights sponsor of events including Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Week (encompassing 2 & 9 March 2024), Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day (9 March 2024) and Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Night (December 2024); along with various other races.

Barfoot & Thompson celebrated their centenary anniversary oncourse at Ellerslie Racecourse in March 2023, and have been a partner of the Club for over a decade.

Barfoot & Thompson Managing Director, Peter Thompson, says: “The relationship we have with ATR is one we value, and we are thrilled to be able to continue our support for this long-standing and highly-regarded Auckland institution.

New Zealand’s most glamourous racing carnival – Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Week – culminates with Barfoot & Thompson Auckland Cup Day on Saturday, 9 March 2024 – an event for all Aucklanders, it features the very best in racing, fashion, hospitality & entertainment.

The 2024 festive season will kick off with Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Night. This raceday is a firm favourite for end-of-year parties and gives Aucklander’s a chance to celebrate the year that was.
