Here are comments from the jockeys in the Group 2 Shaw’s Wire Ropes Auckland Guineas
1st – Pendragon – Niranjan Parmer
Was a really good effort. Wasn’t easy but he’s a good tough horse and still learning.
2nd –Quintessa – Michael McNab
Ran well. Cant fault her run. The winner is going well and just beat us.
3rd –Luberon- Vinnie Colgan
Horrible gate but got a good run and ran on well.
4th –Tossuorit – Sam Spratt
Went a really nice race. Kicked well against a good field.
5th –Just As Sharp – Ryan Elliot
Beautiful run and tracked into the race but may need a better track.
6th – Zabmanzor – Masa Hashizume
He run a good race. More ground would definitely be beneficial to him.
7th – Impendabelle – Kozzi Asano
Had no luck.
8th – December – Craig Grylls
Sat midfield and over raced quite bad. He didn’t make the first bend very well. Might be better suited to sprint races. He’s a nice horse.
9th – Sinhman – Sam Weatherley
Run well but still learning. Going back to Rating65 mile to get some confidence would help.
10th – Monday Melody – Joe Doyle
A bit disappointing. He doesn’t seem the same horse as he was at the start of the campaign.
Last – Tokyo Tycoon – Opie Bosson
Was never comfortable. He’s pulled up a little scratchy.
