Jockey Comments – Group 2 Rich Hill Mile

Here are comments from the jockeys in the Group 2 Rich Hill Mile

1st – Habana – Warren Kennedy

Courageous run. I thought I had been beat on the line but he’s stuck his head out. He loves this course and he’s so courageous. He doesn’t win by much but gets the job done.

2nd – Saint Bathans – Ulrika Holmquist

Superb run by my mount. Brave effort.

3rd – El Vencedor – Joe Doyle

He run another cracker. We’ll have another good day with him.

4th – Arby – Ashvin Goindasamy

Very unlucky run.

5th –Dusty Road – Tegan Newman

He’s run a really nice race.

6th – Cognito – Niranjan Palmer

He’s a honest horse. He tried his best but looks like he’s looking for more ground.

7th – Uderzo – Masa Hashizume

Settled beautifully  and kicked on well just felt it the last 50 metres. Very good run. Will be a nice horse in spring.

8th – Riodini – Jason Collett

Raced very keen. Not much room in the straight but did stick on considering.

9th – Zecora – Lynsey Satherley

She wants a firm track. With her first run over a mile, she’ll improve.

10th – Lingjun Xiongfeng – Billy Jacobson

I don’t think he enjoyed the going. He kept changing legs around the bend

11th – Wessex – Kozzi Asano

Got in a nice rhythm but no kick in the straight.

Last – Aris Aris – Matthew Cameron

Found it a little far. Maybe drop back to 1200 or 1400 next time.
