Jockey Comments – Group 1 Cambridge Stud Zabeel Classic

1st – Snazzytavi – Warren Kennedy – Great win. The pace didn’t suit but she put her head down and got the win.

2nd – La Crique – Michael McNab – Put her in a good spot and she went to sleep. She kicked well. Proud run.

3rd – El Vencedor – Rory Hutchings – The lead we got and when he kicked on the corner we gave the mares a good run. He’s back in form and loves Ellerslie.

4th – Ladies Man – Opie Bosson – He ran well. When they quickened he was left flat footed but closed well.

5th – Campionessa – Blake Shinn – Had a nice run. Brave effort.

6th – Dionysus – George Rooke – Massive run in WFA conditions

7th – Skyman – Masa Hashizume – He’s a miler.

8th – Matscot – Vinnie Colgan – Nice enough run

9th – Meaningful Star – Matt Cartwright – A bit disappointing. Sat three deep but struggled from the 600m. Never recovered.

10th – Hi Yo Sass Bomb – Joe Doyle – We were caught wide. Put a line through that run.

Last – Bella Waters – Craig Grylls – Ended back with no tempo didn’t suit. She’s run very well but couldn’t make up the ground.
