The Ned Prix de Fashion returns to the runway on Champions Day, 8 March 2025, with a $15,000+ winner-takes-all prize package courtesy of The Ned, as well as the coveted sash and national racewear title.
The culmination of New Zealand’s fashions in the field competitions, this is the national final, bringing together the cream of the crop to find the country’s most stylish racegoer.
Entry into The Ned Prix de Fashion is by pre-qualification with entrants needing to win a qualifying competition in order to secure their spot in the competition.
Qualifying events taking place throughout the country will culminate in a final pre-qualifying competition here at Ellerslie on Champions Day (8 March 2025), giving four lucky women one last ‘wild card’ chance to secure their spot in the Semi-Final of The Ned Prix de Fashion.
Contestants will then take to the runway in a bid to catch the eye of our expert panel of judges whose job it will be to whittle the pool down to just five Grand Finalists and from there, the Supreme Winner.

This year’s edition will see 11 semi-finalists make the field for The Ned Prix de Fashion after having won a qualifying fashions in the field competition (held throughout New Zealand) over the course of the 2024/25 season.
